Abnormal Features Seen Normally In Female Newborn

After birth of a female baby, nobody wishes to see secretion of breast milk or vaginal bleeding within a few days. But, parents may notice these. Panic? Parents need not panic. These are something normal physiological events.
Breast milk secretion is due to influence of mothers hormone while the baby was inside the womb; estrogen, progesterone and prolactin. Vaginal bleeding may be seen due to withdrawal effect of maternal hormone progesterone and estrogen; as normally seen in adult female.
